The Top of the State Unit of the Backcountry Horsemen of California is based in Etna, California with many members in surrounding areas, mostly in Siskiyou County. We are affiliated with the Backcountry Horsemen of California and Backcountry Horsemen of America. Our members volunteer many hours maintaining trails, assisting with fish planting, and in educational activities. Our Public Lands of interest include the Marble Mountain Wilderness Area, Trinity Alps Wilderness Area, Russian Wilderness Area, and Castle Crags Wilderness Area as well as several BLM management areas, and county parks.
